Nesbit, Mississippi is an unincorporated community found in DeSoto County. It is located about 7 miles south of Horn Lake, and Memphis, Tennessee is about 23 miles north. Nesbit is home to musician Jerry Lee Lewis, and other notable residents include blues guitarist Kenny Brown and teen actress Olivia Holt. The area is served by DeSoto County Schools, with many children attending school in nearby Hernando.
Despite the community’s unincorporated status, there are a few interesting things to see and do in Nesbit. The Lewis Ranch is home to Jerry Lee Lewis, and fans can take a tour throughout the estate. The Nesbit Blueberry Plantation offers u-pick blueberries, which provides fun for the whole family, and the Solid Rock Sportsplex offers indoor recreational opportunities.
